2. Epic Scenes

Aside from Oberyn Martell's epic encounter, season four will presumably feature a handful of great action sequences - A Storm Of Swords is widely considered the best book in the series (and one of the best books of all time, for that matter) and features its fair share of defining moments, though it's difficult to explain exactly what viewers can be likely to expect without veering too much into spoiler territory. There will be a huge battle to rival season two's Battle of the Blackwater in scope, as well as the continued ascension of Daenerys, backed by dragons and a thousands-strong army of Unsullied and freed slaves, in the east. This is in addition to a particularly eventful wedding, a trial, a highly intriguing 'accident' that screams assassination and whatever else the writers decide to throw into the mix. Further supernatural elements will also be introduced, building on previous developments such as Melisandre's shadow baby, the White Walkers, the many deaths of Beric Dondarrion and Bran's warging abilities by reintroducing a once normal character in haunting circumstances.
