Game Of Thrones: 4 Best Music Videos Inspired By The Series

2. Rage Of Thrones - The Axis Of Awesome

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=1CLCOvZOh1o The Australian musical comedy trio The Axis of Awesome, better known for their songs Four Chords, address the phenomenon of fandom created by HBO's adaptation from the point of view of the Song of Ice and Fire reader fan-base. Jordan Raskopoulos plays the fan of the novels who has struggled through the dark days waiting for A Dance With Dragons and now has to contend with the newly formed obsession of the tv fan-base that they consider to be "jumping on the bandwagon" and their tales of the shows narrative as such that no-one else would know it...despite the first novel having been published in 1996. The song moves from questioning the new fanbase to soon become a comment on modern culture and the focus upon watching television rather than reading for escapism and entertainment, "Hollywood cannot live up to the power of imagination" resonates even following the videos end.
