Game Of Thrones: 5 Ups And 5 Downs From The Dance Of Dragons
6. Bronn Is Released - Up
Bronn has been wasting away in his Dornish cell, with only the games of Tyene to keep him amused. Thats until this week, when Jaime negotiates his release alongside his own. It is Trystane who agrees to his release, on one unspecified condition. We learn just what that condition is when Areo Hotah elbows Bronn in the face, knocking him to the floor. It may mean he cant enjoy that delicious looking pie they were eating, but he does at least have his freedom and a route back to Kings Landing. Itll be interesting to see whether anything further happens between him and Tyene in the finale, having built-up at least a slight bond of-sorts between the two, or whether hell be straight on the journey back to Kings Landing (which, being Game of Thrones, probably wont be all that straightforward). For now though, he lives to fight and sing another day, and thats definitely a bonus.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
