Game Of Thrones: 5 Ups And 5 Downs From Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken

4. The Faceless Men - Up

Arya has a pretty excellent week in general, beginning with her playing a game of lies. But the real meat of her story comes when a father brings his sick daughter to the House of Black and White. Arya gives the girl water, telling her that if she drinks the it, and prays to the Many-Faced God, then she will be saved. It€™s a lie, because Arya knows full well that the water will kill her. However, it€™s not really a lie, because the girl is saved from suffering, and instead has a peaceful, painless death. From there, she finds her way into the creepily impressive Room of Many Faces (unofficial title), where Jaqen H€™ghar tells her that she isn€™t ready to become no-one, but maybe she€™s ready to become someone else. It€™s a good scene in its own right, and considerably advances Arya€™s path to becoming a Faceless Man.
