Game Of Thrones: 6 Ways [Spoiler] Could Have Survived The Season 5 Finale

2. Bran Brings Him Back

The key to Jon coming back to life could be someone that has been missing all season: his half-brother Bran. He was last seen joining the three-eyed raven at the great weirwood tree, and continuing the development of his greensight and skinchanging abilities. Obviously there is a lot of old magic involved here, the sort that could well be used for resurrection. And King€™s Blood could once again come into play, with the sacrifice being made to these Old Gods rather than the Lord of Light. Yet again, Theon probably stands as the likeliest candidate here. Bran has been told that he won€™t walk again, but he will fly. While this may be a suggestion of his ability to take on the form of other animals, and possibly becoming a raven, it could also be an indication of another flying creature: a dragon. The show hasn€™t shown as much as the books (yet, anyway) in terms of what Bran sees from the tree, but there have been lots of indications that the three-eyed raven is concerned with Jon€™s fate, and that a sacrifice will be made to the weirwood tree, with the most likely explanation being that it ties into Jon€™s resurrection there. Bran€™s been off-screen for an entire season, meaning that when we do see him again his powers should have developed considerably, and he and the raven may be better placed than anyone - and have more reason - to bring Jon Snow back from the dead.
