Game Of Thrones: 8 Characters Who Should Get POVs In The Winds Of Winter

5. Margaery Tyrell

Who Is She? - Ostensibly the Queen of Westeros given her marriage to King Tommen (following the deaths of her previous husbands Renly and Joffrey), Margaery has spent most of the last two novels as a prisoner of the Faith after being seen as a threat by Cersei Lannister and accused of adultery as a result, though Cersei found herself imprisoned for the same thing following the torture and confession of Osney Kettleblack. Margaery's release was eventually secured by Randyll Tarly, one of the bannermen of her father Lord Mace Tyrell, whilst Cersei's was secured by Kevan Lannister, the brother of her father Tywin who began to serve as regent in her stead. Following Kevan's murder at the hands of Varys, however, Cersei seems set to become regent once more and her ongoing battle with the shrewd Margery seems set to continue. Why Should She Have A POV? - Similar to the argument for Nymeria Sand getting a POV, the addition of Margaery's viewpoint would allow readers to get an alternative insight into the various happenings in King's Landing and give them the opportunity to witness Cersei and Margaery's 'war' against each other (and their manipulations of King Tommen) from both sides. Additionally, House Tyrell is the only one of the Great Houses (aside from House Baratheon) yet to be given a POV character, and given that the only other real candidate (Loras) is supposedly on his deathbed (though this is probably a lie), Margaery is the only feasible person that could provide this.
