Game Of Thrones: 8 Characters Who Should Get POVs In The Winds Of Winter

4. Brynden Tully

Who Is He? - The great-uncle of Robb Stark, Brynden Tully (otherwise known as the Blackfish) remained loyal to his great-nephew following the Red Wedding, which resulted in his death. He continued to hold Riverrun in Robb's name, providing Sanctuary for Robb's widow Jeyne Westerling and resisting attempts by both Freys and Lannisters to take the castle and bring an end to the war in the Riverlands. The arrival of Jaime Lannister saw Brynden negotiate a peaceful end to proceedings, though he escaped from the castle before its final handover and has not been seen since. Why Should He Have A POV? - Like with Bronn, the introduction of the Blackfish as a POV character would allow readers to 'catch up' with where he has been, what he has been doing and what his plans are for the future. If Brynden is indeed added to the POV roster, of particular interest will be the revelation of whether or not he escaped with Jeyne and whether she or not she is pregnant with Robb's heir, as though Jaime is introduced to her following Riverrun's surrender, her younger sister is suspiciously absent and the description given by Jaime differs greatly from one given earlier by Catelyn Stark.
