Game Of Thrones: 8 Huge Predictions For The Second Half Of Season Six

4. Bran Is Going To Find Out How He Was Crippled

Game of Thrones Night's King The Wall

At the end of episode three, the Three-Eyed Raven tells Bran that he won't leave his company (that is, his large, hollow tree) until he has learned “everything”. While this is clearly just rhetoric, thinking about the fundamental truths that Bran still has to learn, one stands out rather glaringly: the truth about how he was crippled.

At this point, Bran's function appears to be the enabling of flashbacks. It's a clever use of the character, and an effective way of delving into some of the important back story that the show has missed out on. But the writers will also want to continue to develop Bran as a character. Though we don't know where this development might be leading him, one of the most striking ways to do this would be to show Bran the truth about the injury he is still so passionately frustrated with.

Showing Bran that Jaime pushed him from the tower would give Bran immediate motivation to leave the company of the Raven, and at the very least perspective. It could also be used as a gateway to delve more into Jaime's past, specifically his murder of King Aerys.
