Now, we're potentially talking last scene of the season six finale here, but it's going to happen. At this point, it has to. Though there's no absolute confirmation yet, the showrunners David Benioff and D. B. Weiss have speculated that we may have only thirteen episodes remaining at the close of episode six. Which means we're now a lot nearer to the end of the narrative than we perhaps assumed previously.

Which means Dany's finally heading to Westeros. The board is set and the pieces are in motion. In season four, Bran has a vision in which he sees one of Daenery's dragons take flight over King's Landing, and it wouldn't be a massive surprise if something similar rounded off the season has a whole.

In fact, what better way to put an end to the whole Faith Militant arc than to have Dany role up in King's Landing? In episode four, Jaime and Cersei pitch a plan to to use the Tyrell army to crush the High Sparrow. A bloody battle may be ceased by the season-ending shot of a dragon flying overhead.
