Game Of Thrones: 8 Potential Spin-Offs (And How They Might Work)

7. The Houses Of Westeros

If there's one thing Game Of Thrones is known for it's complexity. The world of Westeros is incredibly well fleshed out, to the point that trying to make its many hundreds of characters and locations intelligible and comprehensible to viewers must be incredibly challenging. Yet as book readers know, what appears on the show only scratches the very surface of what George R. R. Martin has written.

A Game Of Thrones spin-off doesn't necessarily have to be narrative driven. A look at the history behind the various houses of Westeros would be incredibly interesting, delving into the past in order to provide a fuller understanding of the political situation in Westeros during the time of ASOIAF.

The show could be a season-long documentary-esque exploration, with each episode focusing on a different house, detailing its formation and the main events in its history alongside a look at its main players. If anything deserves more a rigorous examination it's the multitude of houses depicted in Game Of Thrones.
