"(Ponderous stare into the distance)" and "Khaleesi..." must be copy-and-pasted more times than you can count throughout Iain Glen's script for Jorah Mormont. You can't help but love the tragic Lord of the Friendzone in his efforts to sway Daenerys. Glen certainly isn't a bad actor. He's got the Jorah role down to a tee, and really does put every drop of effort into his performance. He's always delivering lines in sombre fashion, he speaks with the gruff voice of a man who's trailed several thousand miles through a scorched desert and sacrificed every aspect of his life in order to serve a young Queen-to-be, only for her to refuse his love and exile him for his past deeds. Long live Jorah Mormont, and long live Iain Glen's troubled glances across whichever land he finds himself in.
