Game Of Thrones: 9 Crazy Fan Theories About Tyrion Lannister
5. D+D=T
So far none of the theories have been too far outside of the realms of possibility, no matter how unlikely they may seem. That changes here though, with an incredibly detailed if totally crackpot theory: D+D=T. The 'T' is obviously Tyrion, but who are 'D' and 'D'?
Daenerys and Drogo. Yes, you read that right.
It starts with a comparison to Thebes, the ancient Greek city (the seven-gated city, like the seven gates of King's Landing), and the legendary figure who hails from there, Oedipus. He saves the city but remains hated by the people, is disowned by his father, and later kills him. Obviously, then, Tyrion is Oedipus.
Daenerys gives birth to Rhaego, described as being "monstrous...twisted", and responsible for the death of Drogo, his father. It goes then that Miri Miri, who delivered the child, travelled back in time, and implanted the Rhaego fetus into the already pregnant Joanna Lannister, who is then born as Tyrion, while her existing child dies and is delivered as the stillborn child of Daenerys.
Thus Tyrion will go on to marry Daenerys, his mother, and become the Stallion who Mounts the World. It's delightfully insane, and probably deserves reading in full as there isn't space here to truly capture it's majestic madness. Dear George R.R. Martin, please hurry up with the next book.
