Calm and quiet, his intentions were never really known - but that's exactly what made him so great to watch. During the show's final stretch, he served as advisor to Daenerys and died after questioning her skills as a leader.

His death may have been a touch rushed, but at least he went out playing the Game of Thrones with as much passion and commitment as he had in the earlier seasons.
