But ater losing his hand and forming a friendship with Brienne, he began to shed his previous personality, revealing a man who could be a hero if he only had the will to try.

Jaime was massively flawed, selfish and harbouring a deep love for his twin sister. His ending, like Cersei's, may have betrayed his growth slightly, but watching him wrestle with his relationships and inner turmoil beforehand was nothing short of masterful.
