Game Of Thrones: Every Season 7 Episode Ranked Worst To Best

6. 'The Queen's Justice'

Olenna Game Of Thrones

'The Queen's Justice' brought the season's first major deaths (the lesser Sand Snakes who perished at the end of 'Stormborn' really don't count) with Olenna Tyrell killed off in a way perfectly befitting her majesty and Cersei killing Tyene Sand in front of her mother as torture. Ellaria might not have died, but she might as well have.

The episode thrived when Cersei was on screen: her meeting of Euron was a high-point (not least because Pilou Asbæk's mischievous performance was so brilliantly funny) and her confrontation with Ellaria was simply mesmerising. This was undoubtedly some of Lena Headey's best work as the character, fragile, wounded and terrifying all at once.

And then the final meeting of Olenna and Jaime - which was a little let down by the poorly executed battle sequences that failed to live up to the hype before them - was a thing of beauty, as Diana Rigg retired her character with a parting shot aimed to rob Cersei of the glory of victory in her death.

Best Moment:

Either Olenna lashing out before dying or Euron's quite beautiful goading of Jaime over Cersei's bedroom desires. "A finger in the bum" will go down in history as one of THE greatest Thrones lines.

Worst Moment:

Bran reveals his powers to Sansa in the worst possible way.
