Game Of Thrones Finale: 8 Biggest Unanswered Questions We Have From 'The Iron Throne'

7. Who Is The New Prince Of Dorne?

Another member of the Great Council is the Prince of Dorne, who was briefly mentioned in The Last of the Starks.

It's not really a MAJOR point by any means, but it is an annoying dangling question as to who this character is supposed to be. Is he just someone random from Dorne who has assumed control with House Martell being wiped out? A Dayne? A Blackmont?

Or could he be from some other branch of House Martell that hasn't appeared on the show? Doran only had one son in the books, but they could feasibly change things so that Quentyn Martell is his nephew instead, and make him the new Prince of Dorne as a slight (and kind of pointless) nod towards the books?

There's also a question of why Dorne didn't ask for independence too, given they were the last to join the Seven Kingdoms. Is the new Prince of Dorne attempting to build bridges? (Or is it just so they don't steal Sansa's thunder?)
