Game Of Thrones Finale: 8 Biggest Unanswered Questions We Have From 'The Iron Throne'

8. Was That Howland Reed?

Game of Thrones Great Council

At the Dragonpit gathering, where we effectively got the show's take on a Great Council meeting to decide who would be the new King (the first such meeting since 233AC), there are a number of familiar faces and major houses: Edmure Tully, Robin Arryn (with Yohn Royce beside him), Yara Greyjoy, the Starks, Brienne, Davos, Gendry, the new Prince of Dorne, and a couple of other unnamed gentlemen.

The fact they go unnamed might mean they're completely unimportant, and they could feasibly be from just about any surviving house. But the importance of the scene means there could be more to it, and there's definitely a suggestion that this could be Howland Reed.

Given his connection to the Starks, there's some logic for him being present, and he's a character fans have LONG wanted to see appear, while the clothing he wears has some similarities to that we saw in the Tower of Joy flashback. Given he sent his kids to aid Bran, it'd be quite fitting for him to be there at Bran's coronation, but it's still pure conjecture and we may not get an answer.
