Game Of Thrones: Power Ranking Every Major House
7. House Arryn
Status: Active
Remaining Family Members: Robin
Family Members Lost: Jon, Lysa
Home to more bizarre and awkward moments than any other location, The Vale is the castle and seat of power for House Arryn.
Beginning with the assassination of the patriarch Jon prior to the first episode, House Arryn has played an interesting role in the events that followed his death. From hosting Tryion Lannister’s trial by combat to the Knights of The Vale rescuing Jon Snow’s rebellion, the Arryns and their subordinates have had their hands in several important events.
Only suffering one on-screen death (Lysa’s unscheduled trip through the Moon Door), the family has remained mostly intact while simultaneously being brought the brink of extinction. The lone surviving member is the long-pampered son of Jon and Lysa, Robin. First seen breastfeeding long past when would be appropriate, Robin has been shown to be immature, terribly spoiled and a lost cause at becoming a respectable man.
Prospects For The Future:
While it appears that Robin will not grow up to be a strong leader, he is still the Lord of the Vale and has a strong family name. With Littlefinger pulling his strings, it is very likely that he will marry a woman that Petyr can use to further control him. If he can produce an heir, the family line will live on and the Arryns will continue to rule The Vale.
