Game Of Thrones Prequel: 10 Legendary Characters We Hope To See
7. Garth Greenhand
This guy. As far as legends go, it's hard to get more legendary than Garth, considering there's so many diverse legends and tales about him. For starters, when it comes to this High King of the First Men and his crown of vines and flowers, some say that it was Garth that lead the First Men to Westeros in the first place.
Others say he was the first and only human on Westeros all together. If this latter legend is to be believed, then he was free to frolic with the Children of the Forest and Giants and do what he pleased, kind of like an Adam without an Eve.
Speaking of which, regardless of whether or not Garth brought the First Men to Westeros, it is agreed in the legends that he did bring the fertility, in more ways than one. It is said that Garth Greenhands was responsible for all the fertile lands of the Reach merely with his touch and the same goes for all the women he gave this gift to.
It isn't that old Garth didn't get his however. Half the noble houses of the Reach can trace their lineage back to him with his first of many children, Garth the Gardener, forming house Gardener, the first kings of the Reach.
