6. White Walkers
White Walkers and wights are at Hardhome in the books, and last week wouldnt have shown Sam giving Jon those obsidian daggers if he wasnt going to find a use for them. The Others havent been seen yet this season, so they are due an appearance, and if this episode is largely centred at Hardhome then itd make sense to include them here. This is also meant to be the setting for an epic battle, a la Blackwater and Watchers on the Wall, but one that could even outstrip them in terms of scale and is supposedly unlike anything weve seen so far. As well as White Walkers, the show could also bring giants into play here. White Walkers and giants and wildlings, oh my! Although of course there is the chance that theyll be saving it for episode 9, the title suggests something will be going down here, and itd be a way of keeping fans on their toes by having the traditional epic moment come at a different point. If this is to be a massive display of the White Walkers army, might we even get to see the Nights King? Said to be a former Lord Commander of the Nights Watch, he fell in love with a female White Walker and declared himself the Nights King, ruling at the Nightfort, before The King-Beyond-The-Wall, with some assistance from the Starks, defeated him. If the notion of a Nights King were to still exist, it would be a pretty great moment to at least introduce him here.
