Game Of Thrones Preview: What To Expect From S5E9 The Dance Of Dragons

6. Jaime Has A Choice To Make

€œYou can swear your allegiance to me now, or you can die.€ The words above are those of Doran Martell, spoken to Jaime Lannister. Could something actually be happening in Dorne?! Jaime has been held captive for a couple of episodes now, and it looks like there€™s going to finally be some progress with that story this week. Surely Jaime won€™t be prepared to die, but then there€™s the question of who Doran€™s own allegiance is to. Is his plan to do with Myrcella and Trystane marrying, and supporting her claim to the Iron Throne, or does his support lie elsewhere - with Daenerys Targaryen perhaps? The latter would raise the possibility of seeing Jaime join his brother in support of the Mother of Dragons against his own blood, which would be a considerably surprising turn of events. If it is Myrcella, then that means choosing between his two children. Or he could try to fight his way out, something more difficult with just the one hand. We also get a brief glimpse of Bronn and Tyene in their cells. It may be a case of them having to pledge their allegiance to Doran as well, or it could just give us another weird sexual scene between the two. Either way, Bronn is back, which is great news for viewers, even if it may not be so good for the character himself.
