Game Of Thrones Quiz: Did It Happen In The Books Or The Show?

You know nothing, Jon Snow.

Game of Thrones
HBO

George RR Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire is full of rich cultures, nuanced characters, and detailed histories. All of those aspects are combined with clever plots to make a uniquely captivating story.

The large number of characters and plotlines in Martin's creation would be nearly impossible to represent via visual storytelling. Against all odds, however, Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss expertly translated Martin's complex world to the screen - for the first few seasons at least.

Despite great attention to detail on the part of Martin and the show's creators, fans can easily get lost or confused because of the vast number of locations, people, and events. It is especially difficult to keep track of what exactly is different between Martin's books and D&D's show. It takes a hardcore fan to be able to remember everything that sets the two forms of the story apart from each other.

How deep is your knowledge of Game of Thrones and A Song of Ice and Fire? Are you able to recognize the differences? Answer the questions by correctly picking whether each event occurred in the book version, show version, both the books and show, or neither.
