Game Of Thrones Season 3: 10 Things We Can't Wait To See

9. The War of the Five Kings

game of thrones war of the kings

When last we entered into the world of Game of Thrones, Stannis Baratheon had suffered a major setback upon the shores of King's Landing. Prior to that, he took the life of his brother Renly, whilst, elsewhere, the sack of Winterfell had severely damaged the Starks push for control in the North. In their place, the Greyjoys of the Iron Islands were capitalising, raiding the North as they please. However, their successes could count for little and less if Winterfell is reclaimed.

In light of all this, Joffrey Baratheon is seemingly the only 'king' whose dominance is asserting itself across the land. Though, in truth, his victories have been won by both his grandfather, Tywin, and his uncle, Tyrion, he nonetheless still sits atop the Iron Throne.

As is ever the case with Martin, this could very well have changed by the end of the following season; who will be the next victim of the game of thrones is?
