Game Of Thrones Season 3: 6 Subplots It Must Include

4. Sansa, Sansa, Sansa

sansa One of my least favorite aspects of the second season was how much little screen time was given to Sansa Stark and her character arc. Particularly, her relationship with the Hound, and how it's climax at the Battle of Blackwater wasn't fully fleshed out. Many Sansa fans are hoping this next season does her ever-evolving character justice. But it's hard to have faith when one of her subplots, the one in which she saves Ser Dontos at Joffrey's nameday and he then promises to help her escape Kings Landing, was never explored. He appeared in only the first episode and doesn't appear to be playing the significant role he plays in the book. Instead, it seems as if the writers may be moving up Littlefinger and Sansa's relationship by giving him more lines and influence when it comes to her storyline. We've already seen Littlefinger deliver information to Sansa that Dontos had done in the books. It can be assumed the show won't eliminate the wedding between Sansa and Tyrion. In fact, we can anticipate lots of unexpected brilliant moments between the two considering both Dinklage and Turner are superb actors. Additionally, we can also hope to see the development of Sansa's relationship with Margaery Tyrell and how she continues to figure out how to keep her dignity as a prisoner in Kings Landing. What I'm really hoping is that Sansa's development doesn't get thrown to the side by the writers again, and that her struggle, although separate and different than her sister Arya's, can get the same attention it deserves on the show.
