3. Dorne
Dorne. Oh, Dorne. It tried, it failed. Everyone was excited to see what the lavish homeland of Westeros rockstar Prince Oberyn looked like and how it would feature in the story, and almost everyone was left disappointed by it. It was nice to gain an insight into another key area of the continent, but its action scenes were underwhelming and if you strip it all down to the basics, you'll realise that every time you saw Dorne, it was all purely to kill off a severely underdeveloped character, Myrcella. If she was actually given some screen time, the impact would've been far greater. Instead we were given the Sand Snakes; a trio of beautiful, lethal assassins. The signs were great but ultimately they posed no threat whatsoever after their cool introduction scene. And Areo Hotah (a.k.a. The Guy With The Jewelled Badass Axe-Blade) didn't even get an opportunity to use his jewelled badass axe-blade. There were just a lot of wasted opportunities, and most fans would rather Dorne be left alone as opposed to flogging a dead horse.
