Game Of Thrones Season 6: 10 Ups And 2 Downs From 'No One'

Entering the eighth episode of Season 6, Game of Thrones had things nicely in place to truly explode into action in these final three episodes. The Siege of Riverrun, the Battle of the Bastards, and whatever happens in King's Landing, beyond-the-Wall and everywhere else, the matches were there, they just needed to be struck.

Unfortunately, on strike one, they just fizzled out a little bit. No One wasn't a bad episode by any means - in fairness, it's rare you'd find a bad episode of Game of Thrones - but it was a case of more of the same after Blood of my Blood and The Broken Man. Nothing explosive, but a few flames steadily burning away.

In that sense there were moments in this episode that were a little disappointing, even if I wasn't expecting this episode to come close to last year's episode 8. The bulk of the episode was centred around the Siege of Riverrun, and Arya's battle with the Waif. Both were resolved, though only one was completely satisfying (but even then a little confusing).

Meanwhile, we got more time with the Hound, a few rather enjoyable reunions, and a major fan theory seemingly debunked. No One was another solid instalment in Season 6, but the final two episodes will really need to set the place alight.
