Game Of Thrones Season 6: 10 Ups And 2 Downs From 'No One'

1. A Girl Is Arya Stark

Game of Thrones Arya Needle
HBO

Unsurprisingly, Arya kills the Waif, with some help from Needle. The only surprise is that it played out off-screen, but then that makes sense: viewers were bloodthirsty for Arya to get her revenge, much like with Meryn Trant last year, but this was about her rediscovering her identity, and it's not one of a totally merciless, brutal killer.

Things got a little confusing though when we returned to the House of Black and White, when Jaqen announces that a girl has finally become no one. Erm, what? Surely everything Arya has done in the last few episodes has gone against what the Faceless Men stand for? How does killing the Waif lead her to completing her training? Those Faceless Men and their cryptic, confusing rules.

At least we might be done with them now, as a girl triumphantly announces that she is Arya Stark of Winterfell, and she is going home. Arya's storyline has been one of identity ever since she fled King's Landing, always having to pretend to be someone else. Now, after a detour to Braavos, she's found herself again, and it's much better to have Arya than no one.

Now onto what the episode didn't do so well...
