Game Of Thrones Season 6: 10 Ups And 2 Downs From 'No One'

6. The Hound Has An Axe To Grind

Game of Thrones The Hound Sandor Clegane
HBO

Picking up after his return last week, Sandor Clegane was a man with an axe to grind. Or throw. Or use in any way possible to cause maximum damage.

Hunting down the Brotherhood Without Banners, he comes across the minor group first, who are engaging in some sort of Westerosi #lad #banter. The Hound deals with that in the only way possible, by cutting off heads and slicing them apart, while delivering a couple of fantastic lines as he gives one of them the chance at some last words.

Sandor obviously didn't want to return to his killing ways, but this isn't the same old Hound. Yes, he delivers revenge here, but when he meets the rest of them - Lem Lemoncloak et al - it's justice he delivers. He is a changed man, in some ways, just one still capable of swinging an axe, and with Cleganebowl apparently not happening, it's mystifying - and intriguing - to think about just where his story might head now.
