Game Of Thrones Season 6: 10 Ups And 2 Downs From 'No One'
5. The Real Brotherhood Return
When the Brotherhood turned up last week, apparently acting as villains and killing Brother Ray and his followers, it raised questions over just what had happened to them, and why they were acting that way.
As it turns out, they weren't really part of the BWB, and the real lot show up this week, led by familiar faces Beric Dondarrion and Thoros of Myr. Having the proper Brotherhood back is a welcome sight, although it's a little weird that they greet Sandor Clegane like an old friend, rather than someone who killed their leader (I guess when you can come back from the dead, someone killing you doesn't matter as much).
The purpose they serve here is to have Sandor take another route, the one Brother Ray was taking him down, and kill the people, but by hanging them. No long-drawn out pain, no bloodshed. All rather un-Hound-like. But a sign of the new Sandor. And now they're going to be working together, which is going to be interesting to watch, although it's not clear yet just what they're planning on. I guess Beric's presence rules out 'LS', but maybe that serves us (or at least myself) right for getting raised hopes in the past few weeks, after previously giving up on it completely.
Still, maybe we'll at least get Gendry?
