Game Of Thrones Season 6: 10 Ups And 2 Downs From 'The Red Woman'
9. Daenerys Meets A New Khal
The trailers have teased for a while now that Daenerys would be captured by a khalasar and taken to their leader, but these scenes managed to play out in a good, and unexpected, way.
While at first this seemed like it was going to be a total retread of Dany's storyline from way back when, just with a Khal by a different name, it moved in a different direction to what was setup.
Daenerys did a great job of holding her tongue and playing tongue while two of the Dothraki engaged in some absolute lad banter, and when she did speak it was to Khal Moro, revealing exactly who she is. That led to the change in his opinion, and the fact that she would not be touched by any of the men there.
Instead she's to go to Vaes Dothrak to live as one of the dosh kaleen, which, y'know, isn't great, but it is different, and better than it could've been for Daenerys, and with so much seeming familiar it found a way to feel fresh and interesting (not something you can always say about Daenerys' story).
