Game Of Thrones Season 6: 10 Ups And 2 Downs From 'The Red Woman'
8. Jaime And Cersei's Reunion
And things continue to go to hell for Cersei. After being stripped, shamed, and totally broken down last year, there was at least a little cause for optimism in the form of the newest member of her Kingsguard, Ser Robert Strong.
He doesn't figure into this episode, however, bar a brief background appearance, as it's more concerned with reuniting Jaime and Cersei, and the latter discovering the fate of their daughter.
Lena Headey was the standout actress on the show last year, and that Walk of Shame scene in particular was a masterclass in acting without having to say anything, and she does that again here as she's waiting on the dock, and wordlessly learns the truth.
Cersei's not always an easy character to like, because she's done so many awful things, but she still makes you feel for her when discussing Myrcella, and how that was the one cause for optimism in her life, that she wasn't a monster.
Then Jaime comes in with his "F**k prophecy" line, and we've got the promise of Westeros' weirdest siblings taking on everyone in their path, which should be great while it lasts. Cersei has lost her daughter, the one purely good thing in her life, and is probably resigned to losing her son. This Cersei is going to be very interesting to watch.
