10. Davos' Wood Is Somehow Fire-Proof
The moment Ser Davos discovered what had happened to Shireen at the behest of Melisandre was a hugely emotional one and further indication of his rise to importance (since it sent her off into the wilderness on threat of death). But it was also aided by one of the single most ridiculous contrivances in the show's entire run (even worse than Jorah finding the Dany's ring).
How exactly did a fire that burned away all of Shireen and the pyre she was tied to not manage to consume the wooden deer toy Davos had whittled for his little friend? It's literally made of flammable material, and was scorched (so presumably it was at one point on fire). What a ridiculous contrivance to let Davos discover the truth at the cost of all logic.
They should make all boats in the Seven Kingdoms out of whatever that wood was so the dragons couldn't just burn them to tinder.
