Though the flash of it in the show was very much limited to just that, what we did see of The Mountain's new face was enough to inspire nightmares. And now, thanks to the magic of screencaps, we get a proper look at the monstrosity.

So, what exactly has Qyburn done to him? He wasn't a particularly ugly fellow before he went under the Frankenstein-like maestr's blade, but now he's come out looking like a cenobite from Hellraiser. But even then, he's not ALL that terrifying - certainly not enough to terrify a woman witless as he was doing to Septa Unella.

Then of course there's the more tasteless possibility: that Clegane was left there to sexually assault Unella (hence Cersei's ominous "this is your god now" departing shot). Even the very suggestion of that is problematic, given the show's difficult history with using rape as a narrative device (even though the whole point here is that the Mountain is a perversion of nature). It just seems like they could have left her to be tortured as means enough for her downfall.
