Game Of Thrones Season 6: 5 Ups & 5 Downs From Trailer 2
4. There's Going To Be More Tommen, Isn't There?
Look, I know it's a bit cruel kicking poor Tommen when he's down, but even he must concede that he's the show's second most hated character (behind Ollie, obviously). It's not that he's particularly hateful like his big brother, or malicious like his mother; it's more an issue of the character being poorly written on purpose.
Tommen is supposed to be annoying, because he's a bad king who shouldn't be on the throne. He's a weak, genetic lie who really should have a lot more birth defects than he does, given his patronage, and we're supposed to accept him as something of an abomination. But pushing him forward in narrative terms is always a mistake: he's just not worth the billing and even if Cersei's foolish gambit to make him think like a king again leads to a quick death, it will come at the cost of enjoyment.
