Game Of Thrones Season 6: 8 Most Disappointing Characters

4. Loras Tyrell

Game of Thrones Bronn Jaime Riverrun
HBO

The writers really gave Loras a bad deal, didn't they? In the source material, Loras is a multi-dimensional character. Of course there are important plots surrounding his relationship with Renly, but there was far more too him in the books.

He is a feared, young knight in George R.R. Martin's material. He has a fierce reputation for being so young, but none of that translated to the screen.

And while his death was a big moment, there was no redemptive moment, no purpose served by Loras. In the show, he simply existed to be crushed, without ever truly affecting the story.
