Game Of Thrones Season 6: 8 Things You Might've Missed In 'No One'

2. Burn Cities To Ash

Game of Thrones Qyburn Cersei wildfire

With trials by combat done away with - shoutout to the High Sparrow for his off-screen manipulation of poor Tommen - what hope does Cersei have of being found innocent, or at least escaping punishment?

The answer, it seems, lies in the old rumours Qyburn had been investigating for her. At the moment it's not stated what FrankenMaester is on about, but the answer staring us in the face is the store of wildfire still under King's Landing, which we know about thanks to Bran's visions a couple of weeks ago.

Another vision that supports this is that Daenerys had of the Red Keep burnt to the ground, back in the House of the Undying, but there's also a clue within this episode. During Jaime's speech to Edmure, when discussing Cersei and Catelyn he says that they would "burn cities to ash" to protect their children. Was he being more literal than he realised?

It's not even the first time this has been alluded to, and twice in the past there have been lines about burning a place to the ground. Guess who delivered both of 'em? Yep, Cersei herself.

The Mad Queen indeed.
