Game Of Thrones Season 6: Every Death (So Far) Ranked Worst To Best
11. The Three Eyed Raven
Were it not for a final act of idiocy (and his part in a far, far more devastating death), the Ravens death might have been more impactful. He was an interesting old Jedi sort of figure, apparently teaching Bran to turn into something more (and thus making a very dull character more interesting), but it was all a bit rushed.
While he claimed to be teaching Bran to take over from him, the pairs trips through time never actually seemed to teach the young Stark lad anything at all. He got to see things he already knew about and then got himself into mortal danger because the teacher withheld the juicier information.
So when the Raven decided that the impending attack of the white walkers was the best time to go into the past again, he sealed his own death warrant. What purpose exactly did that serve? Yes, we found out why Hodor only says Hodor, but it broke the golden rule of time travel (causality)and progressed precisely nothing.
In the end the Raven got an Obi Wan Kenobi death, but it would have been a lot better if hed gone out fighting with some of that magic he supposedly had.
