Game Of Thrones Season 6: Predicting The Entire Plot In 10 Steps

4. Riverlands

Jaime heads to the Riverlands in the book series to deal with the remnants of House Tully. Prepare for the return of the Blackfish and Edmure, the groom at the Red Wedding, who has been captive since then. But here is where the story will divert from the source material. Brienne's quest to find Sansa leads her to Saltpans where one theory suggests the Hound is still very much alive. However, she's nowhere near the location where a hulking gravedigger, who many fans believe is a repentant Hound, resides. Jaime would be one of the closest major characters to that area so once he's finished at Riverrun, a diversion could lead him towards a potential reveal of the Hound. This could pave the way for a galvanised Sandor Clegane to return to King's Landing and fight on behalf of the Faith which he is now part of. Cleganebowl would be an immense battle between the Mountain and the Hound, and if the latter were to triumph, it would sign Cersei's death warrant. And yes, that could also prove that Sandor is the 'valonqar' (little brother) of the Clegane boys and will essentially kill Cersei, whether that be through winning the Trial or literally executing her as well. This also means Tommen would have to be gone by this point, and an execution of the King by the Faith shouldn't be ruled out as he is illegitimately seated on the Throne. This would all pave the way for a staggering season finale, and could even result in Daenerys becoming the natural heir to the Throne...
