Game Of Thrones Season 6: Ranking Every Death From Worst To Best
8. Loras Tyrell, Mace Tyrell, And Kevan Lannister
Cause Of Deaths: Killed by wildfire.
Loras, Mace, and Kevan were three of the high-profile (by which I mean they were characters with names and lines) casualties of Cersei’s decision to destroy the Sept of Baelor, although none had that much importance to the series going forward (or indeed in the past, being honest).
Loras is part of the reason the trial was happening in the first place, but his character was never given a chance on the show; he was gay, and little else happened to flesh him out beyond that. Mace, meanwhile, was a bumbling fool, and Kevan a stern figure, a Tywin-lite who couldn’t hold a candle to his former brother.
Still, they add some familiarity to the carnage in the Sept, and make the stakes that bit higher than just total randoms being killed off, and dying in a wildfire blast is perhaps the greatest thing any of them have accomplished on the show. Well, except for Mace Tyrell’s helmet earlier in the season, obviously.
