Game Of Thrones Season 7: 10 Big Questions After 'Eastwatch'
4. Will Gendry Be Reunited With Arya?
At last, Gendry makes his big comeback in Eastwatch. There have been numerous theories about how it'd happen, and in the end it's a mix of two of them: he's in Flea Bottom, working as a smith, and then goes to fight Beyond-the-Wall with Jon et al.
If he does make it back alive, then where does the character head after that? He does have some claim to the Iron Throne (albeit not as strong as Jon or Daenerys), so could he get wrapped-up in Westerosi politics, even if it's against his will?
Even if he doesn't have the strongest claim, he is a Baratheon (albeit a bastard). With no one else from the House surviving, could he be put in charge of Storm's End (which isn't being held by anyone, as far as we know)? The castle has been mentioned, but never appeared on the show, making it the last remaining Great House castle to be left out. Since Highgarden and Casterly Rock made their debuts this year, maybe Storm's End could too?
Even with those possibilities, there's no clearly definable arc for his character right now, since he's been out of the picture for so long. But certainly the most fan-service-y option (and there's been plenty of fan service already this year) would be to have him go to Winterfell and reunite with Arya.
The two built up a great relationship in the earlier seasons of the show, and if Gendry doesn't have anywhere else to go, maybe he'll head back to Winterfell with Jon, and meet up with 'Arry.
