Game Of Thrones Season 7: 10 Huge Shocks That Could Happen

2. Cersei Survives (And Allies With The Enemy)

Game Of Thrones Season 7 Trailer Cersei
HBO

Cersei Lannister and the Night's King. One's an icy killing machine relentlessly steam-rolling enemies without mercy, intent on wiping each and every one out... and the other is the Night's King.

With all of her enemies teaming up and her only available chance of an ally sailing in from the Iron Isles, things aren't looking good for Cersei. There's no way her decimated forces - shorn of their financial support from the Tyrells - can hope to fight a war on multiple fronts, and there's no way she will surrender. With that in mind, she must be heading towards the premature death, unless she has an unprecedented ace up her sleeve.

Sleeping with an enemy that inhumane as the White Walkers might seem outrageous, even by Westerosi standards, but if there's one person who'd do it, particularly with a fan favourite theory suggesting she will go full Mad Queen. And maybe an alliance with the Night's King would be enough to finally turn Jaime against her, so he can live up to his own destiny as the murderous Valonqar.

Of course, this would rely on the Walkers having an agenda beyond killing everyone, but it's likely we'll find out more of their story this season too, so it's not completely impossible.
