Game Of Thrones Season 7: 10 Major Predictions

8. ...Which Helps Sansa Choose Starks Over Littlefinger

Sansa and Jon are going to have some real issues this year. He's claimed Winterfell and the North, and she feels like her part in that has been ignored and that she hasn't been given the recognition or power she deserves (and wants).

There is, however, one person willing to offer her those things: Petyr Baelish. Although he sold her to the Boltons, Sansa is now seemingly letting him back in after the Knights of the Vale came through at the Battle of the Bastards (all of this ignores the fact that said Battle could've been a lot easier had Sansa not kept that information to herself).

So where will she ultimately side: family or power? It seems likely that we're going to see Sansa massively swayed by Littlefinger, and the pair using each other for their own ends and desires, which would pit her against Jon. And if it were just Jon, then Littlefinger might be in with a chance of winning.

But with Arya and Bran set to return to Winterfell too, that should definitely sway Sansa back towards Team Stark. In the trailer she quotes her father's words: "...The lone wolf dies, but the pack survives." Sansa will be forced to choose between being a lone wolf or a member of the pack, and given she knows how that ends, her choice in the end will be family.

That in turn spells bad news for Baelish, because he's going to have to die. Having tried to poison Sansa against her family, it's unlikely he can be allowed to live, especially as the show is outgrowing him: he's all about the game, and that isn't going to matter too much going forward. With the great war coming, there isn't a place for Littlefinger.
