Game Of Thrones Season 7: 10 Major Predictions
7. Euron And Cersei Team Up, But Still Get Beat
As things stand, the odds are overwhelmingly in the favour of Daenerys Targaryen over Cersei Lannister. She has by far the bigger army and, with Tyrion, Varys, and Olenna, three of the wisest advisors around - and all that's ignoring the three huge dragons at her disposal.
We know that in the first episode, Dragonstone, Cersei is going to attempt to even the odds. And there's one way to do that which stands out above all the rest: an unholy alliance with Euron Greyjoy.
The Crow's Eye announced his arrival in the series last year by murdering his brother, before claiming the Iron Islands for himself and proclaiming he would marry Daenerys and conquer Westeros. Unfortunately for him, his niece and nephew got there first, so now he's an enemy of Dany.
For Cersei and Euron, then, it's a case of 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend' - plus they're both dangerously mad, which should help. Putting their two armies together, especially with Euron's fleet, does level the playing field somewhat, but still not enough. Daenerys has too much in her arsenal, but there's also the fact that, for Season 8, the show will need to leave these villains behind.
