The Scorpion does indeed get used here - by Bronn, obviously, who is the most obvious fit in this scenario for the Bard the Bowman role - and, after a missed shot, succeeds in wounding Drogon.

It's enough to bring him down to Earth, if not stop him from almost torching Jaime, but just how badly injured is the dragon? Is it but a flesh wound, or could Daenerys' biggest dragon be more seriously injured than first appears?
