Cersei's plan, once she receives the gold from Highgarden (and, despite some confusion, it does indeed make it back to King's Landing), is to take out another loan and hire the Golden Company to help her win the war against Daenerys.

Founded by Aegon Rivers, one of the Great Bastards of Aegon IV Targaryen, the company is unique among sellswords in that they are said to have never broken a contract. Indeed Cersei's plan is familiar, as Davos suggested to Stannis that he should hire them to help take the Iron Throne.

Will the plan have any success? Probably not, as it seems unlikely for Cersei to ultimately win the War of the Two Queens, but sellswords of that order certainly wouldn't hurt her chances, and may at least further convince the Iron Bank that she's the right horse to back.

Bringing sellswords into play does raise an intriguing possibility too. Daario Naharis has been left holding Meereen, which isn't the kind of role his character desires. He's a warrior by nature, and while he was the commander of a different company (the Second Sons), could the show find a way of writing him back in here? He's another one of those dangling threads, and bringing him into the Golden Company, and thus Cersei's command, would make for a more dramatically rich sendoff for the character.
