Game Of Thrones Season 7: 12 Most Anticipated Moments
2. The White Walkers Invade
A lot of the marketing for Season 7 has revolved around the fact that 'the Great War is here'. It's an admittedly great hook, but it's not entirely true. While the storm is undoubtedly coming and Westeros needs to prepare for the war to come, it's not here until the White Walkers invade Westeros, something they surely aren't going to do until the very end of Season 7.
With another season to go after this one, the invasion can't happen too soon, so it makes sense that we'll see the White Walkers ready to enter Westeros in the extra-long finale.
It's the moment that signals the beginning of the end for the finale, and one we've been waiting for since the very beginning. The Night King will stand ready to lead his forces to into Westeros, and if the sight of him raising the dead in Hardhome was chilling, this should be doubly so.
Of course, for that to happen means the Wall has to come crashing down. That'll probably be the fault of Bran, but even if it's predictable the sight of it actually happening will be something else entirely, a visually spectacular, cinematic masterpiece that leaves mouths agape as death descends on Westeros.
Warning: the next entry goes more overtly into rumour/spoiler territory.
