Game Of Thrones Season 7: 7 Things You Might've Missed In 'Eastwatch'

5. The Braavoisi Actor Who Became A Gold Cloak

It's not uncommon for recognisable names and faces to be cast in minor roles on Game of Thrones, but it is a little more surprising when they return for a different part.

That happened with Eastwatch, which welcomed Brit comedy actor Kevin Eldon back to the fold. The first time we saw him was in the play about Westeros the Braavosi theatre troupe headed up, which Arya constantly watched. There, he played Eddard Stark, except as a total buffoon.

He's a bit more serious here, taking on the role of one of the two Gold Cloaks to get his head caved in by Gendry's warhammer. They're almost certainly unrelated, but there is an interesting story in there about the Braavosi actor who left the stage behind, travelled to King's Landing, and became an unscrupulous member of the City Watch.
