Game Of Thrones Season 7: 7 Things You Might've Missed In 'Eastwatch'

Eastwatch ends with seven of Westeros' biggest and best badasses coming together to head beyond the Wall, and it's such a great scene because of the sheer amount of character in it and the shared history on display.

We get a few snippets of this, such as why Gendry dislikes the Brotherhood, why Tormund distrusts Jorah, and a hint of something between Jorah and Thoros, though it's not expanded upon. We have heard that story previously though, as Jorah told it to Barristan Selmy: during the Siege of Pyke, the last battle of the Greyjoy Rebellion, it was Thoros who first went through the breach, with Jorah right behind him. Jorah ended up knighted, and Thoros, well, didn't.

There's also Jon only knowing the Hound from a brief glimpse of him in Season 1; Jon's father - Ned, not Rhaegar - being the man who was going to execute Jorah, causing him to go into exile - and Jon also has his sword; Ned previously sent Beric to bring down the Mountain, which eventually led to the formation of the Brotherhood; Davos, though not one of the Seven, was on the opposing side to the Hound at Blackwater, although the latter left the battle; and, of course, most of them are linked by Arya.

Jon's her brother, Gendry her friend, the Hound was her travelling companion and was on then off the kill list, and Beric and Thoros are both - as far as we know - still on the list. You'd think her name would come up at some point, if they have any more time for chatting and catch-ups between fighting the army of the dead.
