Game Of Thrones Season 7: 8 Things You Might've Missed In 'Beyond The Wall'

8. Kissed By Fire

"Gingers are beautiful. We are kissed by fire."

So says Tormund to the Hound in this episode, and of course he's right, because he is a beautiful creature. But it's also a common belief among the free folk that people with red hair are kissed by fire, which means they're blessed with good luck (which maybe explains how Tormund survived here).

It's also the name of the Season 3 episode where Jon and Ygritte are in the cave, where she herself says redheads are "kissed by fire."

It's in that same episode - which is one of Thrones' best - that Beric last wielded his flaming sword, fighting against the Hound rather than with him. Back then, it was clear he used magic to light it, but as in the hero shot above, it's not as obvious here.
