Game Of Thrones Season 7: 8 Things You Might've Missed In 'Beyond The Wall'

1. A Song Of Ice And Fire

Game of Thrones Daenerys Jon Snow
HBO

This episode made a number of references to the future for both Daenerys and Jon. Tyrion confronts her with questions about choosing a successor, since she cannot have children, a fact she repeats to Jon towards the end of the episode.

Jon, meanwhile, faces up to the idea of actually having kids for the first time thanks to Jorah, when previously he didn't want them due to being a bastard (and then joined the Night's Watch).

Circling back to the House of the Undying of Season 2, then, and in her vision Daenerys finds Drogo and their son, Rhaego. In the books, however, she also sees a blue winter rose growing in a !*$% in a wall made of ice, which points to Jon Snow.

So with all these various connections together, and the growing romance between the pair, there are definitely some strong hints that Jon and Daenerys will have a child together, who would be A Song of Ice and Fire.

Daenerys, of course, thinks she can't have children, but Mirri Maz Duur's prophecy in the books included the line "when your womb quickens", indicating she will eventually be able to have children again, with the right person. That person, it seems very likely, will be her nephew.
